Anoushka Akel

Anoushka Akel (1977, NZ/UK) lives and works in Auckland, New Zealand. She received her MFA from the Elam School of Fine Arts in 2010 and has been a Professional Teaching Fellow at the school since 2009.

In 2006, Akel undertook an internship at the Peggy Guggenheim Museum, Venice, Italy. In 2010, she was a recipient of the University of Auckland Summer Research Scholarship, and in 2013, she was an artist in residence at Künstlerhäuser Worpswede, Bremen, Germany.
